With CrossING, we offer an annual platform to support engineering students on their way into the professional world and to connect them with potential employers. Former fellow students from various companies report on their entry into the professional world, their experiences with AI in the application process and how they personally reconcile family and job. Participants can also pick up business etiquette tips, have their application photo professionally taken and have their application documents checked. In addition to the jobs and internships on offer, the WORLDFACTORY Transfer and Start-up Center will provide information about opportunities for setting up a company, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) will provide information about the topic of “company succession” and young academics will talk about the advantages and disadvantages of a doctorate.
The next event will take place on September 24 and 25, 2025 in the ID building and is free of charge. You can register now!
In 2015, CrossING was awarded the Lore Agnes Prize, in the context of which the RUB aims to make successful gender equality strategies more visible and recognises them with a prize every two years. As part of CrossING, former fellow students report on their entry into the professional world and how they personally combined family and job.
